THE NEW LIGHTING 2000

BY

Easy Snooker

A Brand New Concept in Snooker Table Lighting set to

change the game of snooker forever

Please read the following facts regarding the lighting 2000 system.

Strangely, Snooker Tables have undergone many advances in technology over the last century although the lighting has remained the same.

The majority of Snooker Tables still use standard incandescent lighting- until now!

The Lighting 2000 System Comprises of Specialist Halogen Bulbs that will provide a crisp white light over your Snooker Tables

Why not use a standard incandescent (ordinary bulb)?

Incandescent Lamp Disadvantages-

  •   Sensitive to shock and vibration.
  •  High overall operating cost - low efficacy and short life.
  •  Sensitive to voltage variations.
  •  Lowest efficacy - all other lamp types surpass incandescent performance by a large margin.

 Standard Light Bulb

IT IS A FACT THAT ONLY 1/10th OF

INCANDESCENT LIGHTING IS CONVERTED INTO LIGHT!

Highlights of the Lighting 2000 System.

 * Energy saving- ten hours a day for / seven days a week for one month costs approx £7.70 in running costs.

   (Note. Differences occur in electricity rates dependant on locality and supplier).

 * System uses special fittings- preventing cracking due to heat from lamp.

 * Screw in lamps prevent possibility of lamp falling onto table and damaging cloth.

 * Lamps are twenty percent brighter than standard lamp using same wattage (100 watts)

 * Cable supplied is special heat resist capable of withstanding high temperatures.

 * In line connector supplied in kit enables the canopy (not supplied) to be easily removed for maintenance.

 * Inbuilt UV technology for added comfort to the eye.

 * A brilliant alternative to ordinary light bulbs

 * Installed in less than half an hour ( must be installed by a fully qualified electrician)

 * Lamps will not blacken with continued use

 * Note- standard incandescent lamps produce up to 90% heat and only 10% light after approximately

    six weeks of use.

Why use Halogen (Lighting 2000)

In conventional, incandescent lamps, the tungsten molecules evaporate from the filament

which is very hot, and then are carried by convection currents in the bulb which arises from

a temperature gradient within the bulb.

Then, when these molecules come into contact with the cooler temperatures of the bulb glass,

the molecules stick to the glass to form a thin film, which will increase in thickness during

the life of the bulb.   This process is what shortens the life time of the light bulb.

When the molecules are separated from the filament, the filament becomes smaller in

circumference, which also makes it decrease the wattage, amperes, lumens, lumens

per watt, colour and temperature.

Also, when the molecules become attached to the glass of the bulb, a film is created which decreases

the total light output of the lamp, this film becomes thicken with the life of the bulb.

The thickening of the film wall on the bulb is generally

refereed to as the blackening of the bulb.
Halogen lamps operate in a "Halogen Regenerative Cycle". In the halogen light bulbs,

the tungsten molecules separate from the filament, the same way as the molecules separate

in conventional incandescent bulbs. The difference is that when the molecules are picked up by the

convection currents, they combine with the halogen gas that is in the bulb. The two combine

to form a "tungsten halide, The tungsten halide does not become attached to the bulb glass,

but rather is carried by convection currents, back to the filament.

At the filament, where the temperature is higher than 2,500 degrees Celsius, the tungsten halide is separated back into the halogen gas and the tungsten molecules, which are deposited back onto the coil. This is

the concept of the "Halogen Regenerative cycle". The cycle keeps the filament its original size

and doesn't leave a blackening film on the inside of the bulb, and doesn't shorten the life of

the bulb. The average halogen bulb has an average life expectancy of between 2,000 and 4,000 hours.

With Halogen Lamps you get:-

    * Consistent white light.

    * No discoloration at the beam edges.

    * No discoloration of the reflector.

    * No fringe colours.

    * No lumen loss due to coating discoloration.

    * Cool beam with over 60% of IR radiation transmitted backwards through the reflector.

Additional Advantages of Halogen Lamps:-

Halogen lamps offer a number of economic and quality advantages:-

  * Provide excellent colour rendering.

  * Light is whiter than that of conventional incandescent lamps.

  * Continuous spectrum with particular emphasis on warm colours.

  * Lamps are easy to install.

  * Halogen lamps deliver full light output at the flick of a switch.

  * No warm-up required.

Why not use a Fluorescent?

Fluorescent Lamp Disadvantages

  * Variations in supply voltage affect lamp light output and starting.

  * Required external equipment (ballast) consumes energy, adds to equipment cost.

 * Lamp frequency flicker can cause discomfort to some people.

 * Ballasts may produce irritating 100HZ humming sound - only reliable solution is to replace ballast.

 * Radio frequency interference from lamps may disturb communications equipment at close range.

 * Note there are new EMC (Electro- Magnetic Compatibility) Regulations due to come into force for the EU.

 * Distracting lamp flashing can occur with a glow starter attempting to strike a failed lamp.

 * Stroboscopic effects can make the balls appear stationary.

What you will get with your kit:-

         * Five Special 200 Watt Lamp- holders

          * Five Specialist Rad Halogen Lamps

          * Heat resistant cable

          * Connector unit for connection to mains supply

          * Full detailed instruction

          * Telephone support (landline)

The system can be installed into your existing lighting canopy by your

own electrician in under half an hour
